I agree, sounds like a reverse sneeze to me also. Different things can initiate reverse sneezing. As it did help for a while after AB treatment, I'm wondering if a Culture and Sensitivity was done... maybe a different antibiotic would do the trick....
My first Yorkie RS'd so bad at night I thought she would pass from her heart giving out. I called my vet at 3AM, and he said to give her 1/2 tablet of Sudafed (nasal decongestant). It worked like a charm. Maybe ask your vet about that.
