My own feelings on the situation are that the forensics are going to be a big deal, we haven't heard much about them.I suppose that evidence is pretty closely guarded. How close was Trayvon when he was shot? angle of entry and so on. It should be very telling.

I hate to see the block watch groups take a hit as well but the bottom line here is that Zimmerman should not have been carrying a gun while on block watch. I was involved with block watch myself a few years ago and I was also licensed to carry a gun but I never did. Part of the agreement we signed said that while participating in block watch we would not carry a gun and everyone was OK with that, if they weren't they didn't participate.

But then again if memory serves Mr.Zimmerman wasn't running a block watch when the shooting took place, he was on his way to Target.
