Default Nipping at Granddaughter

Hi YTer's:

My 4 year old Yorkie has been jealous since the birth of my granddaughter (our 1st grandchild) and the first baby he has been in contact with. Whenever my daughter brings her into our home he barks and barks. . . incessantly. He has always been somewhat of a barker at squirrels, cats, birds that fly by the house or even another dog, but he has never barked at adults who enter our home. We introduced my granddaughter to him from the time she was born, allowing him to sniff her, lick her and get close enough to allow him to snuggle with her. None of these actions have settled him down enough to stop the barking. Now this past month she has begun to walk . . he tries to follow her and will try to nip at her legs or hands. I am worried that he is going to hurt her. . . . has anyone else dealt with their Yorkie acting aggressive towards a baby????? He is my fur baby, however, I have to keep my granddaughter safe. . . any suggestions out there would be very much appreciated~!~~ Thank you~~~
