Food changes can cause diarrhea or at the very least soft stools, they suggest going very slow on food changes, especially if yours has a sensitive stomach. For the first feeding, start with 3/4 old food, and 1/4 new food, if bowel movement looks normal, stay with that for the next few feedings, then 1/2 and 1/2 again checking bowel movements to make sure there is no diarrhea. Anytime it looks too soft add more of the old and less of the new to the next feeding. Next, you do 1/4 old and 3/4 new. Some people say they add a probiotic during the food change if your baby has a really sensitive tummy.
