Does he get a lot of exercise?
My puppy who's only 13 weeks (so i'm not sure if this applies) is really squirmy, as he's very high energy. He doesn't like being held for long unless it's when I take him on errands (he knows that it's either be carried by me or be alone at home)
Well, when I drain his energy by playing intense fetch and chasing for like 30 min straight then he will get tired and want to nap. At that point I can put him on my lap and he will just lay there silently letting me pet him all I want. |
