When Chloe was a puppy she was the same way. She still LOVES to chew but we have taught her what she can and can't chew. Now we giver her the large sized busy bones / busy chewnola sticks. We also do rawhides for larger / medium dogs so that she can't chew them and swallow them. It satisfies her urge to chew and I can take any pieces she rips off away before they get too small.
Also we bought many many strong chewer toys including a kong for her and so far have done ok. I swear by the kong. Nothing can keep her busy and distract her better than a frozen kong. |
