Perhaps more of these stories you hear are real. a yorkie seems like a difficult breed to train.
I just took her and the little one for a walk, jade(the yorkie) was excited, as soon as I said walk, excited and happy the whole time, even after peeing what I thought was an entire bladder on the floor found time to mark about 11 lawns.
now upon coming home I wanted to reward her behaviour with a treat but she cowered but didnt pee.
I think maybe she thinks this is my territory and I rule it like a tyrant, as she dosnt seem to be scared of me at my stepdaughters grandmothers house where we bring her when we go on long outings so she isnt home alone. I have been pretty hard on her at home, she did come over when I softened my voice and crouched down |
You're getting down on her level and showing her that you can be trusted. This is good. You're starting to build trust with her. No don't ruin this trust building up by going off track.
With regards to the peeing everywhere, you may want to just get her checked to make sure she doesn't have UTI. That's alot of pee for a little Yorkie.
Always remember, it only takes a second to break trust, but a lifetime to re-build it.
