Hey guys! Well Katie Scarlett is not a big barker...so far. She is almost 5 months. She seems to get frisky right before bed time and here lately has started barking a lot during that time. She likes to get under our couch in the man cave and bark. I tell her 'enough' but she just keeps going. I tried a dog whistle, pennies in the can trick and neither worked. She just keeps barking. Well tonight when she started her nightly ritual, she came into the next room I was in and looked at me and started barking! It was like she was backtalking me when I was telling her 'enough.' I am trying to teach her 'good bark' and 'enough' so that she can do the warning barks. But here lately, she compleltely ignores me. My husband thinks I should just let her get it out of her system. Is he right? Or do I need to nip this now? Any tips/advice on how I can teach her that we don't bark continuously under the couch before bed? Thanks!
