OMG! "my dad had a hand full of dogs he trained using this method and worked flawlessly." ----well my dad used to kick our German Shepherds in the side so hard they would come up off the ground when I was little and I would stand at the door and yell and scream and cry and then lock him out of the house. Those German Shepherds never would leave the yard even with the gate open so yes his way worked...was it the right way? NO!
