Cailee is 5 months old and we've had her about 6 weeks. I immediately started her in a t-shirt at night (she's so tiny and we were still using AC -we're in Florida). I got her a couple of dresses and she didn't like them at first, I kept putting one on her every day at least for a couple of hours or so to get her used to them. She's OK with it now. She's going to be a bumble bee for Halloween -- this will be the REAL test of whether she will wear the costume.
Cody, on the other hand, is 21 months old and he never wore any clothing until last winter. I started him in a t-shirt. I don't put clothes on him very often but he's OK with it.
For me, treats were the key; but both of my pups love them. I give them Zukes - I get the little round training treats. I cut them in half for Cailee for pee pad training.
