I can't think for 1 repeatable breeder I have ever know who would sell an animal through a pet store. So much work goes into properly breeding, caring for, and raising baby animals that a breeder would want to ensure the puppy/kitten is going to a great home. Buying directly from the breeder you can build a relationship and has a research for questions because the breeder knows the animals genetics. I am still in regular contact with the new owners of the 6 puppies I sold from 2 litters. Not breeding now. 3 out of 4 of mine are spayed.
