Another reputable Canadian breeder that is a member here just mentioned that there is a code of ethics that one must follow if you are a member of the CKC. And you must pay, I think she said $50.00 just to be a member. So, with that and the cost of registering a litter, those reasons among others would be why not so reputable breeders would resist being a member of the CKC.
The $50.00 is an annual fee.
