We smile anytime we see that little tail! She technically can not control it. Most of the time it just lays flat. A few months after her surgery, we would see wags every once in awhile without touching it. We'd wake up in the morning and she'd see us and do some slow wags. I'd get on the floor to play with her and there'd be slow wags. Her rehab vet just kept saying "It must be reflex" but finally she started saying "She's a special little girl and she hasn't read the text books!" One of the last times she was at rehab, the vet called me to say she saw the tail wag herself, when one of the attendants walked in. She made the attendant leave and come back again, and when she came back again, Layla wagged again

Medically, it can't be explained. She should not be able to wag her tail. I think it's just her spirit shining through and telling us she's still happy
