You are right, calcium should NOT be giving during pregnancy...I'm no breeder but I do know my breeder very well and I pay attention...only type of calcium that should be given to a pregnant bitch is in food...a good puppy food, eggs, cottage cheese, chicken liver or beef liver...once she whelps the puppies than she will need a calcium supplement like Pet-Cal, you can get that from the Vet.
