My little girl is on 3 diff. pills 2xs a day for the rest of her life, and let me tell you everyday I ask myself " I wounder if today will be easy or will I have to try a diff. trick" .
Most days I just hide them in her food, I feed her can food so I make a little meat ball with a pill in it but it must be placed around the second bite. You see she already knows her meds are in there so she will first lick the top of the food and if she gets the pill she will just place it on the side of her dish or take it some where else, and I will find it later that day or another day.
When she is just not eating it in her food I'll hide it in a treat, or in a small amount of peanut butter, or in some boil chicken if I have it made.
About 2 months ago I did have to give her liquid medication it was hard, she kept spitting it out at Me. I could tell you what it taste like ( it wasn't bad at all) it was red and it got on my carpet, chairs, and my cloth, it didn't come off
But anyway the best way I got her to take it was in her food, I would place a small amount of food with the medication and after she ate all that I give her the rest of her food. The reason for that was that the medication would dilute and not work as good.
I do hope your furbaby gets well soon, and when you do find out how she got this infection please let us know.
