When we were dating my future husband gave me a coffee pot that was a regift... I almost didn't marry him
Then for my birthday he said he was going to have my car painted, never did... still shouldn't have married him.
He has not improved at all... one year for Christmas he did give me a set of pearls.. very nice
that same year for my birthday(we were at my in-laws, as I was opening my b-day present)everyone was looking at me with great expectation- I thought it was a joke because it was the same box as my pearls came in.. he forgot he had given me pearls and bought more!!!!! everyone thought I was horrible when I didn't get excited, I said so... where is my present?? We took them back, and I didn't get anything.
Lesson learned, should have kept my mouth shut, took them back myself and exchanged them for something I wanted!!!
A few times he has done well, our girls have seen to it!!!
And we have been married for 28 years.
One of my great presents was the year my daughter, Amy,got a wii for me... she had to stand in line for 5 hours at 2:00am. People kept asking her, how old is your child to get a wii, and she would say "no, it is for my mom!!" got to love her!!!
