He is wonderful! Peanut is just the most beautiful little boy! Difficult to believe that he has not found his furever home yet. I think it is marvelous of you to look after his welfare by rehoming him. As someone else stated rescues dig into their own pockets for health care etc. before placing their little ones but you are not a rescue...just someone who cares, trying to do the right thing. It is difficult enough to let one go when you care. I personally was looking into adopting a rescue and the price was $600.00 for a healthy, young pup/adult (both were under a year old). The explanation I received from the group was that they charge more for healthy pups to compensate for the $ put into the ones that have serious med problems. Since you have already spent so much on getting this little guy ready I wouldn't choose just anyone for a home either. Charging money and taking applications insures that the right home will come along and the adoptees will be serious. The price may be high but what of the rewards? Keep trying. The right people/person will come along. |
