If I was closer, I would be happy to help, but I am sure you should be able to find homes for them in New York. Just be sure the new owners can financially provide for them too. Many will jump at the chance for a "free" or "discounted" Yorkie, but make sure they think through vet bills and the like. You have probably already considered all of this but I thought I would throw it out there just in case. With so much else on your mind, you might not think about it.

Again, I am so sorry for your loss. I know all too well the cruelty of cancer when it takes your loved one. May she rest in peace and you be comforted by sweet memories and the knowledge you can be together again some day. God bless you and your son.
Good advice. I emailed him yesterday basically telling him the same things about making sure they are altered...and doing thorough checks on rescues and people who are interested.
