I am so sorry for your loss, and at such a young age too. I wish you the best in finding good homes for your wife's pets. Please be selective and be sure irreputable puppy mill folks don't get their hands on them. If they are not all spayed and neutered, I might do that before rehoming them just to be sure. A resuce is a great idea s they really screen prospective owners to make sure they will provide well for the pups.

If I was closer, I would be happy to help, but I am sure you should be able to find homes for them in New York. Just be sure the new owners can financially provide for them too. Many will jump at the chance for a "free" or "discounted" Yorkie, but make sure they think through vet bills and the like. You have probably already considered all of this but I thought I would throw it out there just in case. With so much else on your mind, you might not think about it.

Again, I am so sorry for your loss. I know all too well the cruelty of cancer when it takes your loved one. May she rest in peace and you be comforted by sweet memories and the knowledge you can be together again some day. God bless you and your son.
