Leptos is a hot topic on another list that I belong too. Now rearing it's ugly head in in some parts of the US. Most of us are aware of the adverse reaction in can cause in Toy breeds. However, one must make an informed decision on whether or not to have your dog innoculated against it.

Research whether or not you are in a geographical area where Leptos is on the rise. Number of cases in relatively close period of time. Based on the data, you decide you'd rather take the chances of the vaccine over the chances of your pup contracting the disease, there are ways of minimizing the reaction. Have your vet administer a Benadryl vaccine prior to the Leptos. About 1/2 before. Once the Leptos vaccine is given, stay in the vets office for approximately 45 minutes after is given.
