Hi there. My little guy had the same thing. At 8 months old he had 11 teeth extracted. I, too, was very concerned about putting him under anesthesia. I read enough to worry. My little guy is 2.7 lbs and when the assistant first looked at him, she said "Oh no, the vet will not put any dog under 3 lbs under anesthesia". So that scared the sh*t out of me, for sure. But when the vet came in she reassured me and went over the procedure as to what exactly they do and what exactly they are to use. So I felt at ease. When I picked him up at the end of the day - honestly - he acted as though nothing had happened to him.
Make sure that they do bloodwork first!!!
And.....if you are thinking of having her spayed, this would be the time to do it.
