I have always had and loved both male and female dogs. I have lately favored the male -- for a couple of reasons.
Their pee doesn't kill my grass.
I can use belly bands on them and help keep down the "urine damage" in my house. Plus the belly bands are very handy when we visit other people's homes.
But - they are both wonderful and get along very well together.
