I recently (within the last month) switched from free feeding to scheduled feeding. Levi and I moved into a new apartment with my brother and his dog, and since the move, Levi has basically wanted to eat nonstop.

I knew about how much he would eat per day (when I free fed, I always measured his food in the morning and then measured at night to see how much he ate). This gave me a good baseline for how much he had self-regulated to eating every day.

Levi currently weighs about 6 pounds and eats about 1/4 cup of Orijen per day, usually split into 2 meals. He gets about 1/8 cup in the morning and 1/8 cup at night. If he is especially active or acts especially hungry, he might eat another 1/8 serving. Occasionally, I will mix in about a tablespoon of wet food (Wellness Core). He also gets a few treats throughout the day.
