I got to talk to 2 doctors today. They obtained baseline thyroid tests and ultrasound. They sent the tests off somewhere else (i have no idea where or why), but they need to get those back and then they are gonna do another test on the thyroid and compare. The EP doctor wont touch him until the tests come back for thyroid because if it is overactive thyroid, they could kill the thyroid and his rhythm should return to normal and clear up everything. In that case, he will just have to take a pill forever and will be fine.
If its not the thyroid and the transesophageal echo comes up okay, they are going to go ahead and shock him and send him for further testing of the circuits in his heart.
He's feeling better today though and color is coming back in his cheeks. He's wanting to get up and around but they wont let him yet so he's annoyed. I have more confidence today than yesterday cuz the urgent care doctor called me this a.m. to check on hubby and I spilled my heart out. He was really really nice and very helpful. He said he was gonna call up to the hospital and I think he did cuz they were more cooperative with answering all of my questions.
