I made a list of the things I can no longer purchase at walmart and called them on it. I was told 7 mo ago they would see what they could do. Let me tell you what they did NoTHing ! I heard they let go 10,000 people from the main warehouse. Well they will be letting more go soon as no one wants to shop there because you can't get what you want or need anymore. I think we all need to start calling and complaining about once a week and maybe then they will hear us and do something about it.
Exactly! The Super Walmart is relatively new within the past year. Before it back Su(ck)per Walmart it was just a regular Wallyworld. When my kids were little I bought diapers, formula, clothes and all my household cleaning supplies and a lot of my shelf goods like cereals, cookies, snacks etc from them. Then I would go to the grocery store for my meats and other supplies. I thought the idea of it becoming Super was a one stop shop. Well not mine! This last time I made a list because there were certain things I wanted to make sure that I picked up. All things that I would have normally been able to get without even thinking about it. Nothing out of the ordinary~couple of Plugin refills, cleaner for the FloorMate, Diet Pepsi, Equal, Wonder Bread.............they were OUT! How are you out of these things? So then I needed to go across the street to Super Target.

As for it being a "ghetto Walmart" that is not the case at all. I live in a nice area but the Super Walmart is dragging the community down. In the past I have even driven to the Super Walmart in Lockport, IL which is about 15 minutes away. I've seen my neighbors shopping there since they too think our Walmart sucks! When I mentioned it at a party a few weeks ago, the entire group of women all said the same thing. They do not shop at Walmart because of the way it is now run. It isn't so much the employees but the management that is to blame for the quality of employees they chose to hire! Which is one of the things that changed when it because Super. The old manager was replaced and it was all down hill afterward. It's trickle down~when the management doesn't represent the employees follow.

Finally, I guess the mayor of Chicago must have it right. He said NO WALMART because of their business practices and lack of paying a living wage. He's rather see a Super Target built with their higher standards. As a matter of fact I was in Super Target this morning. What a pleasant experience AND a grabbed a Starbucks on the way out.
