This whole situation is just killing me. I am over the initial shock of the fee but it's simply something that my family and I have not budgeted for. I'm just really struggling with my emotions. I want Max to be healthy. The vet doesn't think his quality of life is affected right now.
I don't know much about LSU but have heard great things about it and I was very comfortable dropping Max off. The doctor already called me this evening to tell me the Opthalmology Dept. did one test and it came back normal, but now they are working on a horse, so they can't do the next yet.
I was interviewed by a 4th year college student who then brought Max to a room with a team of vets and college students. I feel he is in the best care right now. I'm a total, nervous wreck and barely hanging on, but pushing forward. |
