Do you open the big bag each time you feed, or do you keep some in a smaller container? Even with the 5 lb bags that I buy, I fill an airtight container for daily use.
I think as long as you aren't opening the large bag every day exposing it to air, and you keep it sealed well, it should be okay. You would likely smell the difference if the kibble becomes rancid.
Some people have said that some manufacturers say that their product is best kept in the original packaging, but I have found my kibble can does a good job. |
