I had no idea about any of it when I got Ellie, so her baby teeth were never removed. They fell out on their own after awhile and she did get periodontal disease and osteomyelitis. Lost 9 adult teeth because we didn't know any better. Probably wouldn't have happened this way if we had started with dentals and homecare. So better to get those teeth out now.
Don't forget to look at the anesthesia protocol in the YT Library. Not all anesthesias are equal and some vets do a much better job with sugerical protocol than others.
