I just think they are all different regardless of size just like people are. I have 4 and they are all so different in personality and needs and appetite, etc. I don't really think you can generalize based on size. I think you can just as easily have a fragile 6 lber as a fragile 3 lber as far as overall health.
My smallest (2.5 lbs at 7 mos) is my healthiest and the one eats the best, is the least picky, the fiestiest, has the most energy, learnes new behaviors quickly, thinks she is the protector of everyone, etc!
