We have a pool and 5 children and countless friends in and out of our house daily. And after more that a year, you would think we just laid it. Its in every room except kitchen, laundry and baths where we have tile. The problems we foresaw with hardwood besides scratching was of course damage from pee. Every dog has an accident once in a while or they get sick, then your floor is ruined unless you happen to be standing right their cleaner and rag in hand. This was a great alternative for us, we love it. Hope this helps.
I am thinking of redoing my floors also and the pee was an issue for me too. I think I will go with either the laminate, or my brother just put down engineered hardwood. Better than laminate but not As good as hardwood. But I want something that I do not have to worry about it getting peed on.
