Oh goodness. I bet he did find new trees. *giggle* We have tons of squirrels and the LOVE to put peanuts and shells all over my pool/patio area. I have three huge sliding glass doors on different sides of the house that look out that way. Lucy sits there planning her squirrel attack, she's waiting for the moment she's able to dart out and catch 'em I just know it!!! Thanks for your story! Even though your baby got bitten (very scary) I saw a little cartoon of the whole thing in my head and the part of "dragging its rear end around" made me giggle.
