I'm sorry to cause confusion -- I meant that NB's statement that other companies add ethoxyquin to stabilize their kibbles (while NB does not) -- I believe they were referring to is the animal fat and animal byproducts -- I learned this reading an article somewhere (a dog food analysis blog?) explaining the different uses of ethoxyquin at different stages of kibble production.

In other words, NB was saying, "Look, we only use it in our fish and it gets cooked off, while these other manufacturers are much worse and add it later to other things in the kibble."

I was just trying to add to your discussion above.
