Hi...Firstly I am wondering why you want to train her out of the crate...Does she go in there and behave in there etc. when you are out or busy...
You also say you don't intend to leave her more than 4 hours...so being left in a Crate would be o.k. I think..
Or is she outgrowing the Crate etc.? maybe.
Our Dustie..who has a Crate etc. for sleeping...when we are very busy or out..he is nearly 1 year old..and I shall keep him to this Crate as usual..
Maybe you have a specific reason for de-crating her. but if you have I would really start with leaving her in one room at a time for a short period with her basket in there and see how she reacts..maybe leave her crate in that room with a blanket in too..so if she wants she can go in there.
Others may have different ideas...but some dogs are always crated ...and I don't think there is any adverse affect at all...x
