Just a quick update re: groomer
He called Chloe's mom tonight, and now it's Chloe's fault, Chloe got too close to the dryer...and mom needs to cap the $ he pays her and put it in writing. 1st it couldn't have happened at his facility (altho he did disconnect the wire to heating element), 2nd, it has to be a chemical burn (mom did it), 3rd, Chloe got too close to dryer.
He can say whatever he wants - obviously he is getting legal advise but you have documented everything I'm sure. The man was upset at first yes - but now is worrying about his pockets which I expected him to do. Either way - she was burned under his care and hopefully no judge that would side with him. Especially since he's already showed he knew it happened there and was upset when confronted with her burns.

This new excuse saying she got too close to the dryer ? What BS ! that's STILL his responsibility..... any dog in a cage is at the mercy of whoever is in charge ! What a stupid thing to say and hopefully a judge will see right thru all his new excuses if it comes to that.

I remember (years ago) bringing my Chanel back from a groomer who had great reviews - when she cried in the car while I was holding her at a light - I was livid and called them right away pissed. I knew they'd been too rough with her. I know first hand she was an angel at groomers - there was no excuse for them hurting her and their attitude just sucked.

Granted - it was nothing compared to this....but I've never been back to a groomer since. I'd rather than see mine with a bad haircut than take them to a stranger and have something bad happen.

Poor little Chloe - I'm so glad her pain seems to be under control for the most part and she's acting better each day but still - this isn't over.... I know she has a long way to go poor baby and will be praying no infection sets in. The vet seems to be very good and in time - she will be back to normal...

All the best and please keep the updates coming. You're helping others and also - we do care. This could have happened to anyone but thanks to you guys - maybe people who didn't know about these dryers (or any dryer) will be aware of the dangers.
