Yeast thrives in warm, moist environments. If a dog gets water in their ear(s) during a bath/swim, etc. it doesn't take much for it to turn into a yeast infection. Some ear cleaners on the market are also drying solutions. That is, they dry the ear and it helps prevent yeast.
