I had my Yorkie on the RC. He loved it, but he gained weight quite quickly. He was my little fat boy! The vet suggested I take him off the RC. The vet said her lab was on it and gained a lot of weight too. As soon as he was off the RC his weight went back to normal. He did have a lot of tartar build up at that time too, don't know if that's related. But I would think it would be good if you had a Yorkie that needed to gain some weight.
