oh wow....it sounds like she may have been over medicated....that's really sad. For anyone else who is planning a spay/nueter surgery) bloodwork IS worth the extra money - but also not a guarantee that things will be ok. It's an extra safety precaution especially with very small dogs. Sometimes blood work will come back with a problem and a good vet would know not to perform any kind of surgery if it puts a pet at risk...

I'd be devestated too if something like that ever happened to my girls but again - the vet is protected as are doctors.
