The limping reminded me so much of Eddie's ACL issues that I would have gotten you worried about all the wrong things. Thankfully, you found a great vet.

Amazing that the meds seem to be working so quickly! That's gotta be a good sign. I Googled, and it said the sooner you get treatment the better. I'm so glad your vet figured it out so quickly.

Please let us know how his recovery goes! We can't have a trick star out of action!
Thanks, Mike! I started thinking about Eddie actually when they took Jackson away at the vets for x-rays and I was sitting in the room by myself for over 25 minutes with my mind spinning, and I'm like "please don't tell me he needs surgery!" And of course, I'm on my iPhone on YorkieTalk, lol

We live within a few miles of Lyme, Ct where the disease originated so we do have a lot of deer ticks in our area but my vet will not vaccinate any small breed. They just have too many severe side effects from the vaccine.
Wow! I'm thinking NO to the Lyme vaccine then. That's crazy.
