 neuter or not
I'm a life-long dog owner and currently have two male Yorkies age 2 years and the other is 5 months. Over the years, I have had all my dogs either spayed/neutered. The male Yorkie (5 months) has some championship lines and the breeder urged me to get him registered. He has a great personality and disposition and I'm toying with the idea of mating him in the future because the wife and I want to add a female Yorkie to the mix. I no nothing about using my dog as a sire. It would be a one time thing as our motivation is to have one of his off-spring; not to be a stud. Can anybody advise ? Should we do this ? Disadvantages ? |
