I've had adults eat it too. Puppies ( at 5 & 6 months) know they're not supposed to eat it. When you say "don't eat that" and you watch it as you scramble for the paper towels as they try to rush for the warm poo. They know it's wrong!
I've tried all the things and none of them have worked for some dogs. None except changing foods. I forgot and went back to feeding Wellness. It was years later & some other yorkies starting eating poop.
The problem is that some food is made with ingredients that are too good. Even after they digest it, it's still mighty tasty to them. The bread analogy was good.
Some puppies outgrow it. Some dogs just just need a change in food. I'm glad you brought it up. Nice to be reminded I'm not alone. Nothing like your Princess dragging poop then kisssing you. LOL Oh, but they're precious and they're innocent. |
