Why would anybody have the nerve to say something like that?

Jig, my 20 month old male is 3.4 lbs right now. He's a little guy. I've been worried about him myself but nobody says anything. When I hold him and feel him, I can tell he's getting his nutrition by how well I can feel his bone structure. Does he have any padding or is it all bones? That kind of thing.

As long as your little one is eating and you're giving supplements. I wouldn't worry. Also, 5.7 lbs sounds normal. Keep in mind that a standard Yorkie is considered to be within 3-7 lbs. Although as we all know they seem to come in a lot of shapes and sizes. I think that "standard" is for show dogs.

Do what you and your vet feel is best for YOUR dog and not what other people think. Everyone thinks mine is a puppy because he's so small and just can't get over that I walk him with a harness and leash versus carrying him around.
