Default back again!

We were talking about sizes of Yorkies. I was saying that even though the yorkies I breed are small, sometimes I do end up with some larger yorkies. You would think that possibly their grandparents are larger, etc. or that possibly the blood line is actually larger, but my yorkies that I breed are champion blood lines - actually I have the sons of two well known champions that are also smaller and from reputable breeders as well...but I still end up with some larger yorkies. I believe the 7 lb. size as a standard is so incorrect. What it actually causes many breeders to do is breed small yorkies that are from 4 to 6 lbs only - trying to stay under the 7 lb. standard. I actually believe that the larger yorkies are absolutely beautiful! Our all around family yorkie is 9 lbs. and runs the house and all the other yorkies in the home.
