Edie loves her squeaky toys, and she knows them by name. I would always tell her to "go get the mailman" and she would return with that toy.
One Saturday our mail delivery was late. I said to my husband, "I wonder where the mailman is???". A few seconds later, i heard a squeak by my feet. Edie had fetched her "postal plaything" and brought him to me! "Here's the mailman, Mama!" she was thinking.
