Default Yorkies of different sizes

I am a small breeder and have been breeding for several years. I was surpirsed at how a pair of Yorkies could have so many different size puppies. Now this is my opinion, I don't believe that any breeder can say what size the puppies will be from a pair of Yorkies.

An example: I have a 4-1/2 pd. female breeding with a 4-1/2 pd. male. Both are wonderful Yorkies with great traits, but, some of their litters have one Yorkie Puppie which ends up 9 or 10 pds. and one or two puppies that end up 3 to 4 pds. and of course some around 5 to 7 lbs.. Usually I can tell after about 8 weeks the sizes they will end up. I love all of my Yorkies, but I do not breed the larger Yorkies or allow the small female Yorkies to breed.
