Iv bc he was about 3lbs and I didnt want to risk anything

I think thats about it...I would def do the pre blood work and try to do an IV. You dont have to, but if something were to go wrong, the Dr would already have the IV in him ..I have seen it happen and I have seen dogs saved due to that!
I am just crazy and will pay the extra to know that he is safe
