The cat poop is not the only problem, it is also their urine. It can smell really bad and they will most always go in the same place. Also if they are male they spray a lot to mark their territory. My poor mom has bushes in the front of her windows and the neighbor's cat kept coming over to use her bushes for his bathroom. She was not happy and finally put up a little wire fence around the base to discourage him and keep him out.
