Hi! Thanks for responding. I started showing my yorkie in some local small shows under the advise of a friend and mentor who helped me show. She thought my Lipstik(spelled intentionally that way) had potential. I took handling classes. Laurie, my mentor and I, would then go to many UKC and AKC shows. Lipstik did very well in the ring, got many ribbons, rosettes. She strutted her stuff very nice in the ring as I was learning about the show world. She became a Champion in the UKC very quickly, and she got some ribbons in the AKC but never became a Champion in the AKC. I also began to show Darwin in the UKC and he did very well too. Soon thereafter I got a third, who is actually my best. Her name is Sizzle. She is my best of the group for show; however, I never did show her as my personal life was a mess. I since stopped showing. I do miss Showing! |
