I've learned along the way, with kids and all, that shots aren't 100%....it lessons the likelihood of contracting what the shot is given for. I can tell you, I have known many people who have gotten a flu shot only to have the flu a few days later. Also, I'm not sure how long after the shot is given that it is actually protecting the pup. She is young and knowing that I would be extra careful. I would def. talk to the vet before any play dates.
