I've had girls go up and down for days. If you were only taking the temp at night then took it this AM, she is most likely in early labor as most of the females I've had read down to the low 99's until when labor starts. It's goes into the 98's. If it drops lower than 98 I would get worried about shock and contact the vet. As for the sleeping all the time, with a normal labor, they will go through periods of heavy sleep and be restlessness when awake. Some of mine don't even nest until right when the puppy is coming out.

I do hope everything is going OK since I didn't see this when it was first posted.
