Are you sure you are taking the temperature the right way?
There was a link of how to do it in another post but i can not find it...
whoever posted the link may see this and re-post it here i hope...

But it could very well be that you are not doing it the right way...

What kind of thermometer are you using?
Did you do any lube at all?
are you sure it is going as deep as it is supposed to go in...

Very important, are you sure the thermometer is shaken enough it is not a digital ?
